Begonia 'Dragon Wing Pink'

Begonia x hybrida

Dragon Wing Begonias are spectacular in hanging baskets, large containers and beds. They are heat-tolerant but also perform well in cooler conditions. They have a dense growth habit and are self-branching. Excellent plant for the Alabama climate. They must be set out before the heat of the summer to tolerate full sun. Do not water during the heat of the day, as this can burn the foliage.

Bloom Time: Spring, Summer, Fall

Exposure: Full Sun to Shade

Growth Habit: Grows to the height of at least 12-15 inches and spreads up to 18 inches.

Soil and Water: The soil should be well-drained. Watering should be done when the soil becomes dry, in the early mornings, giving time for the foliage to dry before the heat of the sun hits them. They do not wilt when too dry, but the leaves will become almost transparent.
