Olive Tree, Manzanillo

Description

This tree has leather like leaves which are green with silver undersides growing to a mature height of 30 feet. The high yielding, medium sized black fruit is edible. Prized more for eating than oil making. Also has a more spreading growth habit than many other olive cultivars and it is one of the most often used varieties in commercial growing.
Olives flourish across a wide range of climates where there is good soil drainage and cool winters, with hot dry summers without humidity. Prefers a humus rich soil.
