Epipremnum aureum ‘Marble Queen’ — Variegated Pothos

Description

Epipremnum aureum ‘Marble Queen’ is a classic variegated pothos with heart-shaped green leaves heavily marbled in cream and white. It can trail from baskets and shelves or climb a support for larger, more mature foliage.

Growing Marble Queen Pothos

Use a loose, well-drained potting mix and a container with drainage holes. Water thoroughly when the upper portion of the mix has dried, then allow excess water to drain away. Avoid keeping the root zone constantly saturated.

Marble Queen works well as a trailing plant, but it can also be trained upward. Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Cebu Blue’ is another useful climbing choice if you want a different foliage texture in the same display.

Pruning and Propagation

Trim long or sparse vines just above a node to encourage branching. Healthy node cuttings root readily in water or a moist propagation medium, making this plant easy to multiply.

Like other pothos, Marble Queen contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals and should be kept away from pets or children that may chew the foliage. For another colorful indoor vine, consider Philodendron hederaceum ‘Brasil’.
