Plectranthus verticillatus ‘Swedish Ivy’ — Trailing Houseplant

Description

Plectranthus verticillatus ‘Swedish Ivy’ is a fast-growing trailing plant with glossy, scalloped green leaves and a naturally cascading habit. It works well in hanging baskets, on shelves, and on covered patios where it receives bright shade or gentle filtered light.

Light and Water

Give Swedish Ivy bright, indirect light or mild morning sun. Too little light can produce stretched stems, while intense afternoon sun can scorch the foliage. Water thoroughly when the upper layer of potting mix begins to dry, then let excess water drain away.

Use a loose, well-drained potting mix in a container with drainage holes. Pinching the growing tips encourages branching and helps maintain a dense, full shape. Longer stems can be trimmed back at any time during active growth.
