Description
Ficus triangularis ‘Variegata’, or Variegated Triangle Fig, has glossy green leaves with cream edges. The leaves have a clear triangle shape. Its neat growth gives it a clean look indoors.
This Ficus grows best with steady care. Try not to move it often. A sudden change in light, water, or temperature can cause leaf drop.
Light
Give it bright, indirect light. Strong sun can burn the cream parts of the leaves. Low light can slow growth. For another plant with pale leaf color, see Syngonium ‘Milk Confetti’.
Water and Soil
Use loose soil that drains well. Let the top part of the mix dry before you water again. Then water well and let the extra water drain. If you like bold leaf patterns, Watermelon Peperomia is another compact choice.
Warmth and Feeding
Keep the plant warm and away from cold drafts. Feed lightly while it is making new growth. Do not overfeed. Repot when the roots become crowded.
Simple Care
Trim long stems to shape the plant. Wipe dusty leaves with a damp cloth. Check for scale, spider mites, and other pests. For more bright variegation, see Variegated Arrowhead Vine.
