Description

How to Grow ‘Schumi Red’

Light

Provide bright indirect light for compact growth and good foliage color. Gentle morning sun can be tolerated, but intense direct sun may scorch the leaves. In very low light, growth can slow and the red coloration may become less pronounced.

Soil and Water

Grow in a loose, well-drained houseplant mix and always use a container with drainage holes. Water thoroughly when the upper part of the mix has dried, then allow excess water to drain away. Avoid keeping the root zone constantly wet.

Temperature and Humidity

Warm indoor temperatures are ideal. Keep the plant away from cold drafts and frost. Normal household humidity is usually sufficient, though stable humidity can help reduce stress in very dry rooms.
