Description

Senecio rowleyanus ‘String of Pearls’ is a trailing succulent known for round bead-like leaves carried on slender stems. Its cascading habit makes it especially effective in hanging baskets, shelves, and containers where the stems can spill freely.

Light and Placement

Provide bright light to keep growth compact. A bright indoor window works well, but sudden exposure to intense sun can scorch foliage. Outdoors, acclimate gradually and protect from prolonged harsh afternoon sun in very hot conditions.

Water and Soil

Use a fast-draining succulent mix and a pot with drainage holes. Water thoroughly, then let the mix dry well before watering again. The round leaves store moisture, so constantly wet soil is a greater risk than brief dryness.
