Bougainvillea ‘Elizabeth Angus’

Description

Bougainvillea ‘Elizabeth Angus’ is a vigorous tropical vine known for rich purple bracts and a long warm-season display. It can be trained on fences and trellises, allowed to cascade over walls, or kept compact with regular pruning in a large container.

Light and Flowering

Grow in full sun for the strongest flowering and deepest purple color. Too much shade usually encourages leafy growth with fewer bracts.

Soil and Water

Use fast-draining soil or potting mix. Water regularly during establishment, then allow the upper root zone to dry somewhat between thorough waterings rather than keeping the plant constantly wet.

Color Pairings

The deep purple bracts create strong contrast with the bright white color of ‘Key West White’ and the golden tones of ‘California Gold’.

Training and Containers
