The Picual Olive Tree is a small, growing tree that has leathery leaves which are green with silver undersides. The tree produces high-yielding, medium-sized black fruit that is edible. The fruit ripens mid to late season and is a favorite in Spain for its great high oil content. Olives flourish across a wide range of climates where there is good soil drainage and cool winters, with hot dry summers without humidity. They prefer a humus-rich soil.
